Budweiser International Snow Sculpture Championships 2014
January 21 - 25, 2014

This will be the 24th year of the Budweiser International Snow Sculpture Championships. Teams from around the country and world create sculptures out of 20-ton blocks of snow.

Artists sculpt from Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. until Saturday, January 25, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. Judging is at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 25, 2014, the awards ceremony is at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, January 26, 2014 and sculptures will remain standing weather permitting until the night of Sunday, February 2, 2014.

The evening of Friday, January 24, 2014 is one of the best times to visit. Artists are preparing to stay up all night to do detail work. You might want to spend a night or two in Breckenridge and catch the whole weekend of festivities. You can see the sculptures evolve and witnessing the awards being given out.

January 26 to February 2, 2014 Viewing Week - Visitors are welcome at this free event anytime from January 21 to February 2, 2014. During viewing week, the artists are done sculpting but the sculptures are here for your viewing pleasure. Weather permitting the snow sculptures will stay up until the night of Sunday, February 2, 2014 until approximately 11:00 pm.

Viewing week is weather permitting because occasionally it is necessary to take down a sculpture that is about to fall due to warm weather. Over the past few years there have only been one or two sculptures that were taken down due to weather.
