Peeps Fest 2013 is a 2 day festival that will be expanding to 4 locations this year. The locations are at
SteelStacks in Bethlehem, PA. The Peeps Fest ends with the popular Peeps Chick drop and fireworks on December 31, 2013,
New Years Eve. This is the 5th year for the festival. This year there will be live music, on December 30 and 31, 2013.
The 4 Peeps Fest locations are the ArtsQuest Center, the Levitt Pavilion, the Visitor Center and the PBS39
Public Media and Education Center. The festival will conclude with the dropping of a 85 pound, 4.5 foot tall Peeps Chick
at 5:15 pm., and followed by a fireworks display on December 31, 2013 New Years Eve. The SteelStacks' blast furnaces
backdrop will be illuminated with yellow lights during Peeps Fest in honor of the 60th. anniversary of the popular marshmallow
candy which is manufactured by Just Born of Bethlehem PA.
There is a lot to do and see at Peeps Fest like a hula hoop contest, a studio tour of PBS39, a life-size Coca-Cola
Ski Chalet made out of soda 12 packs topped off with a roof made of Peeps. There is a life-size polar bear made out of Peeps,
a visit from Dutch Springs' dog sled team. Look for the African penguins and other animals visiting from the Lehigh Valley Zoo.
There also will be an instrument display from the Allentown Symphony Orchestra. Enjoy a free New Year's Eve party with live music by
kid friendly rock band Starfish at 4 pm. on December 31 at the Levitt Pavilion.
